UNLOPS represents the United Nations Department of Peace Operations (DPO), the Department of Peaceuilding and Political Affairs (DPPA), the Department of Operational Support (DOS), and the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) in Brussels and liaises on all matters related to peace and security that fall under the remit of these Departments. As such, it provides a single UN peace and security focal point for policy discussion and operational coordination. In this regard, UNLOPS engages closely with the European External Action Service (EEAS) and other EU institutions, as well as EU member state representatives. UNLOPS also engages regularly with the NATO International Secretariat.
